Data Centre Builds
ICM has considerable experience in delivering and managing a wide variety of complex services, including the design and build of datacentres. Our project managers are trained in PRINCE2 project methodology to ensure customers receive a structured yet flexible solution that meets all their requirements.
A series of meetings between ICM and the customer defines the objectives of the datacentre and establishes the scope of the project in terms of technical requirements and strategy. The most effective way of delivering the project is agreed and the project manager then creates a plan which will cover all or some of the following issues:
- Environmental
- Technical
- Resources
- Contingency
- Supply and supplier
- Dependencies
- Milestones and Timelines
Depending on the size and complexity of the build, and whether it is a refit or total construction, some of the following elements may be required:
- Physical room construction
- Uninterrupted power supplies and generators
- Clean and dirty power feeds within the suite
- Resilient air-conditioning
- Lighting
- Mechanical lift for heavy equipment
